Challenge 4 Change has been awarded a £2,000 grant from the Equity Foundation to fund innovative team building sessions for local community groups.
Launched in January 2013, The Equity Foundation connects donors and supporters with local causes to help local people to feel proud to call their community “home”.
The Foundation is part of Equity Housing Group, a social housing provider, that has roots firmly embedded in the communities which it has helped to build over the past fifty years.
The Equity Foundation Grant will be used to fund 4 team building sessions for members of the local community, where they will benefit from the expertise of qualified coaches plus the ground and high level challenges at their well equipped activity centre in Trafford Park.
The sessions will work on developing motivation, self confidence, self esteem, problem solving and interpersonal skills. It will also engender the importance of working as a team and the success, enjoyment and sense of achievement this brings.
Director, Chris Whiteley said,
“It is fantastic to get a grant such as this from the Equity Foundation. We make our sessions here as affordable as possible but some community groups can still not afford to access them. Grants such as this mean we can deliver our powerful training to even more disadvantaged people in Greater Manchester”
