Challenge 4 Change beat off stiff competition to win the Community Award at the Trafford Business Awards, sponsored by Metronet UK. Candidates for the Community Award had to demonstrate that they had a positive effect on their local community, that they showed strong support for local charities, provided employment or training opportunities for young or disadvantaged people and contributed to community schemes.
Challenge 4 Change is a registered charity that provides learning through fun, teaching effective communication skills, team skills, inspiring confidence and motivation and enabling people to overcome their perceived barriers in order to progress.
The prestigious event, held at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford, was attended by over 200 professionals, and 29 individuals and organisations were nominated for a range of awards. Challenge 4 Change won the accolade ahead of the other shortlisted nominees Home Instead Senior Care, and Hunter Architects and Planners.
Challenge 4 Change’s Chief Executive, Dave Djordjevic said:
“We are very proud that Challenge 4 Change has won this Community Award. We are thrilled to be recognised amongst organisations who, day in day out, strive to support others in the community. This is recognition for all the hard work and dedication of the staff at C4C, who regularly go the extra mile to provide unforgettable experiences for the groups we serve.”
Challenge 4 Change’s Business Development Manager, Sabeeya Dawood also received recognition as a finalist for Young Business Person of the Year Award, having narrowly missed out on the Award to Dan Nolan, MD at E-word.
