Axe-throwing to Zip Wire – A-Z of excitement for high school pupils!

From axe-throwing to a zip wire – 250 high school pupils from Sale in Greater Manchester enjoyed a full day of varied activities thanks to Challenge 4 Change.

The youngsters all attend Ashton on Mersey School and deputy head Dr Matt Fox said afterwards: “It was brilliant. The pupils were buzzing, they had such an amazing time.”

The pupils were divided into two groups and undertook a range of teambuilding activities and challenges at our Trafford Park facility and in Ashton on Mersey. These included archery and axe-throwing, ground-level challenges, our famous aerial trek and high ropes, and a zip wire. Despite the cold and wet weather, the children rose to the task and Dr Fox said the conditions helped them build their resilience.

The school has already made a repeat booking for next year and staff who took part were full of praise. One said: “The kids loved it. It was great to see them bonding and smiling.” Another wrote: “It was an amazing day, allowing all of our pupils to make new friends and develop as young adults.”
